Currently drone flight over people is prohibited, unless special FAA authorization has been received in advance. One of the reasons is that getting hit by a wayward or crashing drone hurts, to say the very least. Recently we shared with you an example of what can happen: Wedding Drone Crasher – a spectator at a wedding reception is hit by a drone and the groom is sued. The institution that worked on sports concussions (both football and hockey) has now set their sights on ways to reduce the risk of drone injury, should their be a drone crash landing in a crowd.
